I wanted to share with you that if you are allergic to cats, Himalyans, for some reason don't bother me as other cats do. Maybe it would work for you... This darlin' as I mentioned likes to be brushed, all I have to do is holler "Brushing.." and there he is & gently places himself on my lap. He's also the morning coffee-cat, has to be there if you are drinking a cup. He has a plumage, too.
